Reacciones al iPad

La presentación del iPad ha dado mucho que hablar esta semana, con todo un espectro de opiniones desde los que lo ven como un cacharro perfectamente prescindible hasta los que creen que estamos ante una revolución de la comunicación y el entretenimiento. Pero al margen de las valoraciones, nos quedamos con dos llamativas reacciones.

Una, la de la compañía china Great Loong Brother, que amenaza a Apple con demandarla por plagio, ya que presentó hace meses una tableta táctil de aspecto muy similar a lo que luego sería el iPad. Y otra, la de Amazon, que no ha tardado en reaccionar ante la amenaza que supone el iPad para el negocio de libros electrónicos. Aunque el Kindle es excelente como e-reader, queda a años luz del iPad en cuanto a diseño, interfaz o capacidad multimedia. Amazon ya ha fichado a una startup especializada en tecnologías táctiles, y apostamos por que antes de que acabe el año veremos un renovado Kindle mucho más sexy.
